Accodring to [1], LESCO (Lahore Electric Supply Company) which provides electric services to teh areas of Lahore, Kasur, Okara and Sheikhupura in Pakistan has undertaken a 100 meter AMR trial using GPRS for Industrial Consumers, starting in 2008. The project tasks focus on Energy Loss and identification of theft in a specified distribution feeder. Industrial consumer meters provide accurate and reliable billing and much improved customer service.
