This set of slides was presented at the Smart Grid Advisory Meeting on June 23-24, 2009 in Red Bank, NJ. This presentation provides information on the Con Ed smart grid project in New York, it aims to:
• Better integrate distributed resources for distribution reliability
• Enhance intelligence of electric delivery system
• Develop enhanced interoperability
• Aggregate demand response resources - create a virtual power plant
