Program Description:

Southern California Utility Initiative - This DOE sponsored program is designed to expand training curricula and programs in the Southern California region. The project will raise awareness and interest in careers in utilities, address the predicted number of workers eligible for retirement, and focus on training the workforce from the local community. The project is also intended to provide an electrical engineering pathway from the community college to the university level.
