Regulatory activitiesThe Mississippi Public Service Commission approved and still has active an experimental rate schedule that would now be considered Time of Use but when approved for use in 1989 was just called Experimental General Lighting and Power Rate Schedule. The commission also addressed distributed generation by 1998. [1, 2]
Time of Use breaks the cost of energy into an off-peak and a seasonal on-peak price.
Distributed generators include qualifying cogeneration and small power production facilities where prices are based on a seasonal on-peak and off peak price.
