This report documents the load impact analysis, methodology and results for the Pacific Gas and Electric Company (PG&E) SmartAC program for residential and non-residential customers. PG&E’s SmartAC program involves the installation of programmable communicating thermostats (PCTs) and/or direct load control switches (switches) in households and small/medium businesses with central air conditioning (AC).
