This use case describes how the system responds to a fault on a line section. Three different scenarios to this Use Case are described.
Scenario #1: A fault occurs on the distribution system and the Fault Clearing Device clears the fault. The Fault Clearing Device sends the lock out signal to the Distribution Automation Controller (DAC). The DAC sends the lock out information to the D-SCADA, the OMS, and Historian.
Scenario #2: A fault occurs on the distribution system and the Fault Clearing Device clears the fault. The RTU sends the lock out to the DAC which then sends the lock out information to the D-SCADA, the OMS, and Historian.
Scenario #3: A fault occurs on the distribution system and the Fault Clearing Device clears the fault. The Fault Clearing Device sends the lock out signal to the DAC. The DAC then sends the lock out information to the D-SCADA, the OMS, and Historian.
