Abstract: | This IEEE volunteers and staff members, including representatives from the IEEE Power & Energy Society, met on 27–28 August 2009 in Piscataway, New Jersey to investigate ways to leverage the strength of the IEEE to better serve the engineering community in the area of Smart Grid. Among the topics covered were plans for an IEEE Smart Grid Web Portal and the development of Virginia Tech's Smart Grid Information Clearinghouse. This presentation summarizes Smart Grid related projects within IEEE.
