Abstract:

This publication presents the results of completed and ongoing projects within the subject area “Decentralised Generation and Smart Grids” of the subprogram “Energy Systems of Tomorrow” as well as projects within the subject “Energysystems and Smart Grids” of the programme “Energy of Tomorrow” (status May 2008). “Energy Systems of Tomorrow” was launched in 2003 by the Austrian Federal Ministry for Transport, Innovation and Technology within the framework of the Austrian “Program on Technologies for Sustainable Development”. As part of this framework program, the projects presented here will lead to an improved total efficiency of future energy systems and the increased use of renewable energy sources.
