Abstract:

The purpose of this report is to lay out a methodology for quantifying the benefits to customers and utilities of dynamic pricing programs. The authors illustrate the methodology with specific examples using a suite of models called the Pricing Impact Simulation Model (PRISM) Suite. This suite extends a model that was derived from the experimental data collected in the 2003-2005 California Statewide Pricing Pilot (SPP).
