Abstract: | This report fulfills the requirements of the Energy Independence and Security Act of 2007 (EISA 2007) to conduct a national assessment of demand response (“the Assessment”) using a state-by-state approach. As required by the EISA 2007, the analysis examines the potential for demand response over a ten year forecast horizon, with 2010 being the first year of the forecast and 2019 being the final year. In addition, the report identifies the barriers to achieving demand response potential, as required in EISA 2007.
