Abstract: | Nearly 200,000 plug-in electric vehicles (PEVs) could be on Central Texas roads by 2020. These vehicles will bring new choices to Texas drivers and improve air quality. Austin Energy is working to meet those challenges through its PEV Readiness Initiative.The Austin Energy Plug-In Electric Vehicle (PEV) Readiness Initiative is a comprehensive three-year plan for working with the community to get the city's homes, roads, and electric system ready for PEVs. This document contains the roadmap for the transportation electrification process.
