Abstract: | This document discusses key themes of the smart grid, which are: (1) Smart Grid: The Opportunity; (2) Challenges to Smart Grid Success; and (3) Role of Government. It also profiles leading smart grid projects nominated by participating GSGF members. To provide context for the reader, this document also describes the policy and industry background for these projects. This document aims to encourage continued information-sharing and dialogue between project teams, industry and consumer associations, and policy makers, as they tackle common challenges to further common interests in the smart grid.
