Outage Management System

An Outage Management System (OMS) is a computer based system to aid in power restoration, often by enabling black start generation and providing operators necessary calculations to restore power.

Outage Management Systems can be used in multiple applications. They are beneficial to operators, management, media and regulators as they can provide restoration and impact based calculations, prioritize restoration efforts, monitor customer reported outages, and predict the location of a fuse or breaker that opened upon failure.
